Another fun play date ...

Griffin and Isaac had another fun play date on Saturday night, complete with a pizza party!

This is what happened when we let the boys play in Isaac's room with the door shut ... oops!

Griffin taught Isaac how to do the Mickey Mouse Hot Dog Dance - which for them really amounts to a lot of insane jumping ... (ah, to have the energy of a 2 year old!)

Griffin has been really good about entertaining himself while I'm nursing. The other day he spent over 20 minutes trying to put our house key in the lock. After he realized he was too short to reach, he went upstairs, got his stool, and brought it down to keep trying again. We're always impressed by his persistence!

We've already decided Eli will be Grace's new body guard when they get older since he was born at 9 lbs. 8 oz, compared to her birth weight of 5 lbs. 12 oz!

Grace - Week By Week

I am going to attempt to take a weekly picture of Grace to track her growth... here is the first month!

Grace is One Month Old!

At one month old, Grace is doing great! She is gaining weight really well; she weighs 7 lbs. 3 oz., a significant gain from her 5 lbs. 12 oz. birth weight! She still spends most of the day sleeping (and much of the night awake and eating), but is becoming more alert with every day. When she is awake, she enjoys looking at our faces.

Griffin is one month into being a big brother - and he's a good one! He has been making us laugh with his big-brother antics:

• One time when Grace was crying, he walked over to Grace's co-sleeper, pointed to it, and said, "Grace go to time out." He said it quite matter of factly, as if there was no question about it!
• The other night Josh told Griffin he was going to feed Grace. Griffin looked confused since he always sees me nursing her, so Josh clarified that he was going to give her a bottle. Griffin insisted on helping, and wouldn't let Josh touch the bottle the entire feeding. A few minutes into it, Griffin said, "I need Boppy." He got the Boppy pillow (what I use to nurse with) and put it around his waist like I do, then rested his arm on it while he fed her the bottle!
• Grace is swaddled most of the time, and in the first few days Griffin would go up to Grace and say, "Grace cozy."
• Griffin likes to give Grace a kiss when he first sees her in the morning; it's pretty cute! He also loves to hold her.
• In the first week or so, we always got excited when her eyes were open since she didn't open them much. Every time she opened her eyes, Griffin would say, "Grace pretty."

On Saturday it was warm enough for short sleeves when the sun was out so we played at the park...

On Sunday we went to the zoo and they had fun looking at the animals, but pushing the stroller was fun too!

This is my favorite picture of Griffin and Jordan - they had so much fun running around the zoo together!

It was a fun weekend, we were sad to see them go. Griffin gave Jordan a big hug before we headed out to the airport.

And we got a good picture of the three cousins before they left (Griffin is excited to have a new cousin this June too!)
