Grace is 5 months old!

Grace is 5 months old! We are always amazed at how much she is learning. These days she is obsessed with her feet ... she discovered them a few weeks ago and thinks it's awesome that they're attached to her, meaning she can have them in her hands and mouth all day long. She also rolls over both ways all the time now, and is starting to become a little mobil by rolling to where she wants to go. She still laughs all the time, and is so amused by Griffin. She's always smiling and laughing at him. She loves to touch our faces too. She is going through a major growth spurt right now and is eating cereal twice a day. She weighs about 14 pounds. She continues to be such a happy baby, and we are so thankful for every smile and giggle!

She's old enough to be interacting more ... I thought it was funny how much she was interacting with her stuffed dog!

Sibling Time

Griffin loves to hold Grace ... she is trying to sit up by herself in these pictures!

Rolling Over

Grace is always so proud of herself when she rolls over ... we love her happy smile!

Teeter Totter Time

We went on a walk the other day to run some errands downtown and stopped at a park along the way ... Isaac and Griffin had so much fun on the teeter totter!

A Messy Play Date

Griffin and Cohen were elated to find out that the sandbox near our house randomly starts shooting out water:
We quickly had to roll up their wet pants...
...then Cohen's pants fell down! It didn't bother him one bit, he just kept on playing!
The boys were a mess, necessitating a bath ...
and after all that they needed some lunch!

An Oprah play date

Some friends came over to watch the last episode of Oprah yesterday, and while the boys could care less about the show, they had a lot of fun playing together!
Cohen and Griffin got caught 'washing hands', i.e. making a huge mess in the sink with water and hand soap. The adults were a little surprised to find them there, since we thought they were safe and sound in Griffin's room!
As always, Isaac and Griffin had a blast playing together.
Hudson got to hold Grace and was pretty proud of himself!

Grace is getting so big ...

Grace is learning so much every day. She recently learned to roll over from her back to her front (she can even do it swaddled!) and she started eating cereal!
Looking in the mirror is one of her favorite activities - the doctor says she doesn't understand that it's her, she just thinks it's another baby - and she loves to scream and laugh at the baby in the mirror!
This is how I left her the other day while looking in the mirror ...
I turned around for a second and when I returned she was on her tummy! Doesn't she look proud of herself?!
Here she is before eating solids ...
...and after!

Random pictures from the last week...

Griffin and Grace love playing together!

Griffin loves running around the zoo ... I had to persuade him to stop for a second to smile with me!
Look! We had a rare night out with friends without kids ... we went to the U2 concert!
U2 was amazing - it was a concert I've been wanting to see for years and it lived up to its expectations!

Happy Mother's Day!

Griffin made a flower for me at school and was a little bashful about giving it to me:
Hiding from the camera
He was really proud of his flower!

We had a fun time together for Mother's Day ...
Josh dressed Grace in a "my heart belongs to Mommy" onesie.
Since Grace spits up A LOT, there are lots of opportunities to change her clothes throughout the day. Here she is all dressed up for our Mother's Day dinner. She loved playing with her tutu (and by playing, I mean shoving it in her mouth!)

Songfest

Griffin's Parent's Day Out program at Wellshire Presbyterian Church held Songfest, where the kids sang all the songs they've been singing all year. Josh took a day of vacation to come see Griffin sing, it was so fun! Griffin wasn't feeling too well and basically sat there the whole time, but it was still such a joy to see him in a different setting with his peers... it was adorable. He sang was "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and he did the motions to "The Wheels on the Bus."
