Choo choo train!

The Legendary Union Pacific Railroad Steam Locomotive for the Cheyenne Frontier Days was in Denver this weekend ... since trains are one of the Griffin's favorite things, Josh took Griffin to see it while I was in class ... Griffin decided to take his own mini train!

Best Friends

Griffin, Isaac, and Cohen played together all day on Saturday - it was 102 degrees so they went to the pool twice!

Crested Butte

Josh, Griffin, Stella, & I went to Crested Butte for a family vacation last week. It was great to spend time together (it's rare these days) and see the beautiful scenery!

Penguins (known to Griffin as bird/fish)

Griffin and Josh went to the zoo together last weekend while I was in class ... he loved watching the penguins! When they were walking around outside he called them birds and when they dove in the water he called them fish - we thought it was pretty cute!

Last Minute Trip to the Cabin

Griffin & I joined my parents for a last minute trip to our cabin for a few days last week.

Griffin loved turning the wheel on the boat! He only likes to turn it to the right though, which causes problems when we're actually driving it!

Visiting Great Grandpa Jordan

Griffin got to visit his Great Grandpa Jordan before heading up to the cabin.

Gabby & BeBop's Denver Trip

My mom proved her driving stamina by driving from Ohio, to Iowa to pick up Gabby, and then on to Denver last week. We spent a week together visiting parks, the children's museum, Boulder, Estes Park, Grand Lake, and Garden of the Gods! By the end of the week, we were all tired but thankful for all of the fun memories!

The beginning of our "mountain tour" ...

We drove through the Rocky Mountain National Forest from Estes Park to Grand Lake ... this is our first stop.

This cracked us up ... Griffin was putting the car keys in all the knots of the wood and trying to "unlock" it ... it was so cute!

Griffin was quite the hiker ... he loved walking on the rock ledge ...

Although Griffin was too squirmy to sit still for a picture (standard these days), he had a lot of fun!

We went out to breakfast before seeing the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs and Griffin loved sharing our huge cinnamon roll!
