Father's Day 2012

We had a fun Father's Day!

Grace made sure I was up at 5:45 a.m. to get breakfast started for her Daddy.  Here she is helping me stir pancakes. 

Griffin woke at a much more reasonable time and helped me finish the pancakes.  He was excited to try the batter!  We made fun messages for Daddy:

 We went to our neighborhood's farmers market, where Grace tried to hug Stella most of the time

She just loves that dog! 

And I love her : ) 

Griffin was excited to make Daddy a cake, and loved icing his own cake all by himself (well, almost)

It was over 100 degrees that day, so we spent most of the day at the pool 

And ended the day with cake!

Hiking

We went for a hike for Father's Day weekend.  Griffin was excited to find his own walking stick!

A Fun Friday

I attempted to have Griffin and Grace spell out D-A-D for a picture for Father's Day, and needless to say it was a challenge!  There are a few good ones, and plenty that show the silliness of trying to get them to sit still and smile!

Afterwards, we met the Dads at the town center and had fun hanging out for a bit:

Our neighborhood brings these huge balls out for Friday nights ... Griffin LOVES them!!  It's hard to get a good picture of him in it, but he smiles the whole time! 

As usual, Grace just ran around like a mad woman, throwing herself on any dog and child she can get her hands on.  Literally.  The girl loves to hug!

Summer Swimming

My aunt sent some adorable towels for the kids and we've used them daily since we got them!  Here are some cute pictures of the kids in their towels at the pool last week!

Celebrating Grammy's Birthday!

Grammy is in Denver for the summer ... we had fun celebrating her birthday!

Pool time!

Griffin and Grace are both loving the pool this summer!  They love to use their goggles, jump in the water and climb out again, and play in the fountains.  Here they are on their first day at the pool last week!
