Grammy, the kids, and I went to Evergreen Lake to rent paddle boats ... here are a few pictures!

The Train Museum

Josh, Grammy, and the kids went to the train museum in Golden, CO on Saturday - Griffin had so much fun he's still talking about it!

Boulder Falls

Griffin, Grace, & I went to Boulder to explore Boulder Falls ... it's beautiful!  Here are some pictures:

Afterwards we went to Crepes a la Carte, my favorite!  The kids had fun with the dessert crepe:

Children's Museum & the Pool

We had a fun weekend!  

On Saturday we went to the Children's Museum, one of the kids' favorite places:

Griffin's favorite part of the museum is the fire truck.  He could spend hours pretending to drive it if I'd let him!  For the past two years I've been trying to convince him to put on the fire fighter outfits they have and he never would (he's not a huge fan of new things), but he finally did and he thought it was so cool!  

On Sunday we had fun at the pool with friends and Grammy:

Griffin LOVES to watch people go off the diving board, especially the adults who try to splash the kids.  Here the boys are watching Joel go off the board!

The kids love the showers at the pool, so I started bringing soap and their pajamas to simplify!  Here are all the kids in the shower ...

Sometimes they stand under the water for over 15 minutes ... they love it!

After their shower they had fun running around together:

 Grace has no idea how little she is ... she keeps up just fine!

Grace is such a little monkey - she often climbs on top of my back at random moments throughout the day and we finally got it on camera.

And I was so impressed with her soccer skills!  At 18 months she can run and kick the ball at the same time!

Steamboat Springs

We were able to go to Steamboat Springs last weekend with Grammy.  It was a fun trip!  Here are a few pictures from our weekend:

 Right before we left, we switched Grace into a bigger car seat - the poor girl was STILL in her infant seat at 18 months old ... she's tiny though!  

As you can see, she loved her big girl car seat!  Griffin thought it was hilarious that she was in a big seat like him too.

When we got there, we spent some time playing at a park:

They're so cute together (sometimes!) 

 They spent each morning on the porch looking at the 1 hot air balloon ... we had originally chosen to go this weekend for the Hot Air Balloon Festival, but it was cancelled due to the fires.  The kids didn't know the difference though and were just as excited to watch one hot air balloon!  

We did the Fish Creek Falls hike - it's beautiful!

 Grace was only content if I was running or jumping ... good thing it was a short hike!

 Stella looking pretty cute and in need of being groomed : )  We ran into a photographer who is working on a book on dogs of the mountains book, so she took lots of pictures of Stella!  Stella is thrilled there is at least one picture of her in the midst of the thousands we have of the kids!

 Griffin was in heaven - he loves rocks and likes to pick them out as 'presents' for Josh and I.

We did the Alpine Slide, which is basically like a roller coaster/huge slide down the mountain.  It was so fun!  Griffin had a blast!

We spent some time at the botanic gardens:

 Griffin running at the sound of a train coming ... he was so excited!  He later sighted watching the train as his favorite part of the trip.
