Halloween Weekend

We had a fun Halloween! It started with a Halloween parade at Griffin's school:
Griffin was pretty nervous during the parade and ran straight to me when he saw me.
At his class' Halloween party, he discovered that Dots are his new favorite candy. He was thrilled with all the candy and is showing me a sucker in this picture.

That night we went Trick-or-Treating with our friends. It was so fun to see how excited the kids were. Griffin scrutinized each candy basket to make sure he was getting the best candy. He loved it! Grace was entertained by it all too.

Halloween Weekend

We had a fun Halloween weekend! Griffin wanted to dress up as a duck this year because he saw a picture of his friend dressed up as a duck last year. Grace was a bee, because I always call her my busy bee since the child does not stop moving. She is on the go at all times, and is often waving her arms up and down like she's trying to fly, so we went with a bee this year!
The first time he had his costume on
He was excited!

We went to Boo at the Zoo on Saturday:
He continues to love pushing Grace around
...and watching the construction
There was a photographer booth giving out a free photo
Ou busy bee! As usual, Grace lasted in the stroller for about 5 minutes before insisting on being held.
Griffin loves the carousel!

On Sunday our friends had a Halloween party:
Grace has started feeding herself her bottle - it is so convenient (and cute!)
The cutest duck and bee ever.
Me and my busy bee
Grace checking out Cohen's toys. At one point her head was at the bottom of this basket with her fee straight in the air. Griffin ran over right away to her side ... to get another toy. It didn't phase him in the least that his sister was head first in a basket with no way to get out. : )
Family picture - Josh and I had some last minute costumes: I was a witch (lame, I know), and Josh dressed up as a mormon.

Grace can stand

Grace started standing without holding onto anything about a month ago and I've been trying to get a picture, but she always drops down to crawl to inspect the camera every time!
I finally got a picture of her standing unsupported ... she doesn't even seem to know she's doing it: she'll just suddenly stand up in the middle of the room without holding onto anything!
Here's how she does it:

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumpkin patch ... Griffin loved running around the field of pumpkins and Grace saw it as a great opportunity to try to eat the pumpkins:
This was a rare moment of getting her to look up so I could get a picture of her with a pumpkin - this required Josh and I both shouting her name and making odd noises. The things I do for a picture : )
This is how Grace really spent her time at the pumpkin patch.

Hanging out
Playing peek-a-boo
The only way we could get Griffin back in the car was to play a game of jumping over the pumpkins on the way to the car.
So far this season Griffin has
They had a blow up slide, which Griffin was really excited about!
And a bounce house, his very favorite thing!
Catching the little man on a run
The view was beautiful!

BeBop and Pop Pop's Visit

We were so lucky to have my parents come out to visit last week. They were incredibly generous with their time and talent ... they watched the kids while Josh and I took a trip with friends to Mexico, but also did some amazing things to our house: created the best big-boy room for Griffin, and added onto our deck!

Here are some pictures of our time with them:
At the park
Grace gets lots of compliments on her eyes ... now you can see where she got them!
We visited a small pumpkin patch at the neighborhood school and Griffin picked out his own pumpkin ... we laughed because he picked out the only one that was slightly flat.

Griffin helped make a birthday cake to celebrate Pop Pop's birthday

His finished jack-o-lantern collection ... he's proud of them and wants them lit on the table at every meal.

We went on lots of walks with Griffin on his bike
On a walk

And here's the best part of all ... Check out Griffin's room! He wanted a fire truck on his wall, and BeBop sure delivered! This is some of her best work yet; we are so lucky! Griffin loves his fire truck, every time he goes in his room he just stares at it with wonder!

The finished room:

His bed looks awesome with his initial and name sign!

Chief Griffin Fudge ... so cute!

Pop Pop was busy too, he added an addition onto our deck to connect our stoop with our deck so that we now have a much more convenient and useable deck ... it's AWESOME!

Thanks for all your hard work Mom and Dad ... we love it all and are so thankful for everything!
