Griffin has been riding his Strider balance bike for over a year and was getting really good at it, so we got him a real bike. He was excited and nervous about it, but had fun (for the most part) trying it out. After 30 minutes of practicing the brakes (and learning that braking makes him fall), he was able to ride it 30-ish feet without stopping. It's a work in progress ...

He was so happy, that fall didn't even result in tears!

We introduced Grace to the Strider bike and while she desperately wants to ride it, we think we'll give her a few more months to grow. She did sport the helmet for a bit though : )

Grace and I played peek-a-boo in the bushes for awhile while Griffin was learning with Daddy (we quickly realized the job requires the more patient parent : ) )
