March was a fun month! Griffin and Grace stopped going to their school, Monarch Montessori in early March, making for some sad goodbyes but some more fun mornings together.
Griffin's class made him a nice card and they were sad to see him go. He made some good friends there!
This is Grace's favorite buddy from school, the teachers were always commenting on what good friends they were at such a young age.
Grace misses going to school so much and asks to go all the time, but we're trying to stay busy and she'll go back to school in September.
I had the kids take some St. Patty's Day pictures:
We had snow and sun in March, leaving the kids scrambling to play with the last patches of snow even when it was really warm outside. Griffin especially loves to sled ... in this picture he's trying to 'surf' on a two foot patch of snow!
Later in the month we got another round of snow that was perfect for making a snow fort.
We had a fun snow ball fight and decorated the fort with colored water.
The kids started swim lessons at the rec center in our neighborhood. They both love the water! Griffin was brave in his lessons and even made a little buddy. Grace was filled with excitement and energy the whole time, shouting, "I want to swim by myself!" She was not pleased to be in the Mom & Baby class and really wanted to go off on her own. I let go a few times to see if sinking would make her realize that she isn't ready to swim by herself but she'd just come up gasping, "BY MYSELF!" I think we have some future swimmers!
A perk of the kids being home in the morning is seeing them play so well together (some of the time!)
With the warmer weather, Griffin has been riding his bike to school...he is so proud to be able to park his bike with the big-kid bikes!
We went to our buddy Isaac's 4th birthday party where they played with silly string - which Griffin loved!
More morning fun!
We had a morning of unexpected snow with quarter sized snow flakes falling ... the kids were amazed at the huge flakes; it was so cute to see their awe!
Grace started riding her Strider bike and is so proud to be riding a bike like Griffin does. The whole time she says, "I ride my bike too!"
