We had a Friday off for Fall Break as well ... it was really nice to have two days with just Griffin, Grace, and I, as it's been so long since that's happened.
We started the day making muffins, Griffin's favorite
The kids decided they wanted to paint Josh boxes for his birthday, so we headed to the store and they picked out their own boxes. Grace loves to paint so she was really excited!
Griffin spent over an hour painting this box and truck ... this is the longest I've ever seen him focus on an art project; he was very proud of it!
We also went to the Museum of Nature and Science, a favorite! Griffin was really excited about the space room since he's really interested in rockets these days. Here he and Isaac are all dressed up.

It's so fun to see him so excited about giving gifts! He thought it was hilarious that we hid a small gift in the box (it was a painted rock, which Griffin loved since he loves rocks more than most things!)
They were so excited to sing happy birthday. Griffin wanted us to do it outside because he wanted the "candles to really shine" but we convinced him to stay inside. He insisted on every light being out!
Grace is obsessed with chocolate. She was thrilled!
