August 2014

August ... the end of summer and the beginning of school ... it was bittersweet to watch Griffin start kindergarten and Grace start preschool at a much bigger preschool.  In between it all, we celebrated Grant's 1st birthday and readjusted to me working again and school schedules.
Grant loves to get inside anything he can fit in ... especially his toy baskets.
Welcoming Daddy home from work.  When it's almost time for him to get home they like to wait on the porch to see him drive up.  It's pretty sweet.
Aunt Cookie gave Grant this cow for his 1st Christmas and he was quickly attached to it.  Pretty darn sweet!
Fun at the park ... Grant refuses to be left out just because he's a baby.

He especially loves the Big Wheel and is anxious to grow big enough to use it himself!
Grant is following in his siblings' footsteps and loves to 'draw' with them
A few last days of the pool

It was a fun summer of swimming!
Grant loves to drive in the car
Griffin and Grace just love to be outside riding on their toys
Relaxing
They love to play under our table
more fun in the car

Griffin found Josh's bungee cords and they are his new favorite 'toy'.  He strings them up all over the porch and all over our house making all sorts of things.
In this instance they made a fort to hide under in the rain and loved it!  I stayed dry and watched from inside : )

Again, he loves to climb in anything he can fit in - he was thrilled when he figured out how to climb in the water table at the pool.

This was taken August 26th, the morning after Grant's 1st birthday.  He was still perfecting his walking skills and always walked with his arms up in the air for balance.  He had gone to the doctor for his 1 year check up the day before on his birthday and received 5 shots.  : (  He was brave though and bounced back quickly!
